I'm thinking of running my reefing lines to the cockpit to make reefing safer while sailing solo. What ideas does everyone have for securing the tack and clew as to not stress the sail slugs. My sails have two reefing points and the stock jiffy system works ok for the first reef what ideas do ou have for the second point an/or improving both points. What about a Cunningham

Bruce, the url in the previous answer is only a request for additional information. The orginator could not get the orginial thread to unlock. Here is the url to the orginial thread with much more information.
Bruce, I've used a cunningham on my 250 just enough to conclude it wasn't much worth the effort. They are more effective on a battenless sail and a boat which only requires a little flattening to avoid setting a reef.
When I rigged the 2nd reef, I discovered that its two line rigging allowed setting much faster and easier than the single line 1st, so both were rigged two lines, but I do sail management from the cabin top.
