Douglas, Did you purchase a supply hose yet? If so, can you give me some specs? Length, thread diameters and pitches, etc. Was it manufactured by Paulin?
I bought the suply hose at a local hardware store. I dont know about thread or pitch other than one end fits on the propane bottle with a valve and the other end has an adaptor to go to pipe thread. I bought a hose 5' long so the canister sets out in the cockpit. The hoses are available in 5, 10, and 15 foot lengths. Dont know who made it as the packaging has been tossed.
Doug- can you cut and paste the orginal thread about the installation instructions and parts list? I can not seem to find it in teh archives of the forum.
Hey Mike M, Unfortunately the hardware stores in southwestern Pennsylvania are not as comprehensive as other parts of the country. I spent a lot of time locating the adpater that screws into the bottom of the Century stove valves. The adapter is manufactured by Paulin, their part number 3140. If you use all 1/4" hardware to connect the two burners into a tee, I think the Paulin 3143 Post Adapter will accept their 4122 (5' hose) or 4123 (12' hose.) I'll find out for sure next week. BP Products out of Cleveland (800.760.1957) carries all of the Paulin fittings. I plan on installing a 5lb tank in my gas locker which is not located inside the lazarette. Does anybody know if the posts that come with post adapters will allow the propane gas to flow freely even if their not screwed into 1lb propane tank? I assume the answer is yes since the Century valves have posts in them?

If you are refering to the part of the valve that protrudes out of the bottom center of the valve and has a meetering hole in it. Yes. Mine protruded into the adaptor but the adaptor did not hit or block the valve stem. It worked OK. I have now had the chance to use my stove while an adjacent boat (Dougs) was using a small butain stove. The heating and cooking time on the modified stove was very fast in comparison. Im impressed with how well it all works and wonder why I didn't do it a lot sooner.
