I've been trying to get in touch with Bellpat marine for two weeks now to order masthead sheaves. I go straight to voice mail and get no return phone call. Does anyone know what the trick to getting through is? The number I'm calling is (631) 286-8368.

As soon as you find out let me know. I've been hearing that their sheeves are better than the ones offered at CD.

I tired last year to get through to Bellpat, same experience. Gave up and bought what I needed from Rigrite instead.

I think these people are old and pretty much done. Someone on the forum lives in the area and I think they need to go and buy a bucket of them and have CD sell them. I gave CD the Bellpat info back when I gave them the mast gate contact info.

I have not. I was hoping to cash in on someone's past experience and avoid unnecessary trips to the chandlery and/or having to bore out an existing hole in a sheave. It's a common mod, there's got to be something stock that we know will work. I was frustrated to hear that the sheaves that Catalina Direct sells don't really fit.

Rich,

When I bought my Ronstan sheaves from CD 3 or 4 years ago, I chose not to use them because of there size, but I believe CD may now be selling a sheave that has a better fit. You may want to check with them.

This is a little off of this topic, but since Rick mentioned Rigrite, I'll put this out there.

When searching for replacement handles for my older Easylock clutches, Rigrite was the only place that I found who had them. I think I paid $12.00 each for them. Last season my friend broke one on his Pearson and was happy to know he could get a replacement.

I did a Google search for Bellpat Marine and found a link to this forum. The topic says that they have moved and gave this as their new telephone #:631 205-5167

I just called and ordered mine.

I just called the number above and all I get are fax tones.

The number I listed at the top of the thread goes straight to voice mail. I'm jealous that you were actually able to get through. Maybe I'll try ordering the sheaves by fax if I still can't get through.

As Don notes above those of us looking for masthead sheaves need to get our data straight. Concerns regarding the CD sheaves 3-4 years ago have been noted but is being perpetuated even though CD is now distributing a different product. The question remains as to how the new ball-bearing masthead sheaves from CD perform. Anyone?

To All

Bellpat marine has relocated to Route 101 in Yaphank, Long Island NY. There phone number is 631 205 5174. They are usually there on saturdays around noon, and in the morning on weekdays.

Being the person that introduced them to the C25 community and not living that far from them. I would be happy to get any info one needs and relay the info. I may be reached at sailorguy53@optonline.net

I now own a C22 and dont usually visit the site much so please use my email for the quickest response

Thanks, Frank--they did a super job for me and quite a few others when CD didn't have the correct sheaves for their own all-rope halyards. They custom-made 'em.

Admin: Do we still have them listed somewhere on the site? If not, should they be? If so, we should update the phone #.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had a listing of tried and true after-market parts and equipment that have been installed on our boats, which contains make, model, serial number, and estimated cost? Everything from sheeves, to blocks, to boom vangs, etc. I'd be glad to start such a list with what I've put on my boat, if someone wants to compile the larger whole

I used the mast head sheeves from CD this past winter and had no problems at all installing them on my 1985 standard rig catalina 25. Easiest thing I've done on my boat (My Joy) so far.
