The association officers held our somewhat-monthly conference call last evening, and Duane provided a status report on preparations and plans for the 2006 National Regatta. All I can say is, WOW!

I personally attended the 2005 event organized by Frank Hopper, and without taking any credit away from Frank, I want to say that Duane has substantially raised the bar for hosting the event!

YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS OUT ON PARTICIPATING IN THE 2006 NATIONAL REGATTA; WHETHER RACER, CRUISER, OR BENCH WARMER.

The National Regatta is a spectacular event because of the comraderie alone, but we were all amazed when Frank presented a shroud kit, turbo fans, and various other donated items. Duane has combined Frank's yeoman's work with his own enthusiasm and persistence to make 2006 the event to remember.

DON'T MISS THIS EVENT JUST BECAUSE YOU'VE NEVER PARTICIPATED IN A REGATTA. A RACE IS NOTHING MORE THAN CRUISING IN TRAFFIC, AND WOULDN'T IT BE COOL TO WALK AWAY FROM YOUR FIRST REGATTA WITH A TROPHY, NEW SHROUDS AND A NEW HEADSAIL? YOU JUST MIGHT, BUT YOU NEED TO REGISTER TO ATTEND THE GREATEST CATALINA 25/250 - CAPRI 25 NATIONAL REGATTA EVER HELD.

Hi Bill, if you go to the Racing link in the upper left of this page, it will take you to the 2006 National race page. The Nationals are being held in Cleveland this year about mid June. Should be a lot of fun if you can make it. Cheers.
