I was happy to save some money on electrical parts with the sale Defender is having through Sunday but was a little dissapointed that the discount on a Westland bimini top applied to white only. They quoted a price of 577.50 for Subrella 'Royal Blue'with boot, stainless steel frame and fittings.
I called Westland about other retailers and they suggested Go2Marine.com.Excellent easy to navigate website and apparently very good prices.I just purchased this bimini from them for 446.97 .
I'm sure if someone did some wheeling and dealing they could get it at an even lower price but still this makes me happy I'm living in a market economy .

Hallet Canvas and Sails of Falmouth Maine makes some top notch Bimini products. I went to their sailing seminar last weekend and beside learning quite a bit about sail theory and flying spinnakers, I really liked the level of quality of their stuff. Didn't get a quote as it's pretty tough to put one on a Capri, but having one of their sails (my 155, which was a steal and flys exceptionally well, people don't believe how well I can point) and having them do upgrades on my main this year gives me a high level of confidence in them.

Craig, not trying to detract from your good deal, just presenting other options for folks.

Craig, I also just ordered the same Bimini from Go2Marine! Mine is measured for installation on the coamings, as I want the side decks to remain clear. Which arrangement did you order?

Hi Bill
I ordered the 81" model to mount on the genoa tracks.I read all the pros and cons and opted for more sun protection.I had planned on getting the aluminum frame but at the last minute switched to stainless steel.I thought something sturdy to hold onto would be better when moving around the wide frame.
