I hauled my boat and trailer the 15 or so miles to my house last night to finish getting her ready for splash day on Saturday. One thing I always do after driving any significant distance at all is check the bearing buddies on the trailer to see if they are hot. They never are.
But yesterday both rear tires on the trailer were warm, some may say hot. The bearing buddies were fine. It was only the rear tires, the front tires were cool.
When I bought my new high-capacity hitch ball and sleave (I think that's what it's called) I had it sized for my vehicle and trailer to make sure the trailer is level when traveling, so I don't think the problem is one axle taking more weight, but I might be wrong.
