Hi All, I am almost ready to splash the boat without sails. It is an hour and a half from my house and I am going to motor it to my slip just to get in 20 minutes from my house. Then I will continue working on the boat. I notices a set of philips head screws spaced about 18 inches apart down the port side of the boom. To be clear, near the mast there are two screws one inch, vertically, apart, then going aft 18 inches another set, then 18 inches another set. Four sets in all. I have no clue what these hold, do you? Cheers and thanks.
It sounds like at one time there were eye straps attached to your boom to route either the outhaul or a reef line back to the forward part of the boom or even to the cabintop.
