Today I took my winches off the cabin top to relocate them to the coaming. When I took them apart for the move, I noticed they needed cleaning bad. I finished the move and now want to clean them. Went to the local West Marine and got some winch grease and oil. My question is what do you guys use to clean the insides with?

Thanks Rick, I didn't have any diesel fuel handy but I did have a full can of WD-40 and it worked like a champ. I was surprised how easy cleaning these winches were.
