I recommend the 135. If you don't need all of it, you don't have to use all of it, but its nice to have it in light wind.
My dealer installed my depth finder, a Standard Horizon. Pretty basic, but it has an audible alarm which has saved me a couple times already in unfamiliar water. I also use a handheld GPS for speed. I don't care to get anywhere in a big hurry, so I don't sweat a knot difference in accuracy one way or the other.
I also recommend paying a little extra to have your dealer install your VHF if your not handy. Others may not agree, but the few add-ons I've done myself have been much more difficult than I imagined. I much prefer keeping my projects limited to cup holders and other conveniences. I don't even change my own oil in my truck.
See if you can get the Dutchman flaking system, too. It is really nice.
I agree about the VHF and the Dutchman. I bought the 110 and am happy with it. This is a tender boat and a 135 would be too much for most of the time we have had it. I'd also recommend having a 2nd reef installed by the dealer or a sailmaker. When you need it, it is a real safety piece of equipment.
110 or 135?, Depends on where you sail. I have a 130 roller furling and I have not had more than 110 out the entire spring season due to extremely high winds during our spring season, I am sure I will use it all this summer however when the winds are more like 5-10 mph in June and July (or less and I wished I had a 150%). If you experience winds 15+ then the 110 will do you just fine. I have Reefed to the second reefing point several times this spring and used just enough jib to balence the boat and easily make 5+ knots. hope this helps, Steve Steakley Moon Chaser #385 Canyon Lake, Texas
i agree with tray. we have the 135. that is not what we ordered, but that is what we got, so we make do in the weather that we get..... i also have the dutchman flaking system. GET IT... it is worth the extra expense..also get the teak and holly floor. you will not regret it. it never scratches, never smells, never gets dirty, doesn't get wet, and looks great...
on the depth sounder. we just installed an uniden that shoots through the hull. (no holes in the hull) it works great. easy to install and is accurate..are you getting remote controls for your eingine?

you said that you were buying a NEW c250wk. your dealer would be the best place to ask these questions about the remotes. you can also go to edsonmarine.com and you can find out everything that yu need for the job.
