Hi All

Have not been around much recently, actually down sized to a Catalina 22. But you oldtimers may rember I introduced Bellpat Marine of Long Island as the guy to get custom sheaves for rope halyards.

Well I just came across a product named "SafeRestore" by a company named EaCo Chem 800-313-8505 www.eacochem.com

I paid $25 for a gallon, probably could do 100 masts, real easy to use spomngeon and rinse off.
The good news this stuff got rid of all the oxidation and my mast is now silver again. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!

Richard if you read this send me an email

Regards to all
Frank Rich

I just followed the links... It's mostly diluted HCl, so use with considerable care.

No I have not tried it on anything but the mast, but the literature that accompanied the product explains it's versatility. If anyone provides me with a fax number to my email I will fax it over.

I guess it will work on port aluminum frames?
