I have never used the seaward 1203 butane stove because its not clear exactly what kind of cartidge it takes. I looked for a manual but no luck at Seawards website. Can I just buy a standard butane cartridge? Anyone have a link to an online retailer you've used?

You can get them from West Marine. On page 746 #299248 at $5.99

Kurt,
buy a few! We normally break into the second one during a 2 night cruise, we have never used a 4th even on our 5 day trips.

We keep a couple of those bar-b-q lighters on board to handle the times that the self-igniter fails.

Here's a link to a fancy one on amazon, but we buy ours at the dollar store!
