I'm not sure if this is of interest, but here goes...We just bought a C250 and in sorting through the inventory notived that our square water bottle under the sink drain was nasty...So we started a search for a replacement. Catalina does not offer a replacement any longer so we found a replacement in an unlikely source. Down in the South, people deep fry turkeys and the peanut oil used to fill the fryer is 4.6 gal. and square, OK it's the exact size of the catalina original bottle. We called the vendor of the peanut oil and ordered two empty ones. He sent them COD to cover shipping and other than a bit lighter weight plastic are the same size. In fact the top from the bottle fits as well. Hopes this helps someone out there.
My galley and head sinks drain out the boat. I have no jugs for drain water. I am also new to the 250, maybe the previous owner pulled the drain hose and attached the hose to a bottle.
I think he's talking about the fresh water container under the kitchen sink. I have the original 'nasty' five gallon jug under there. A real pain to fill up.
