Pick your mechanical advantage, what ever you like, it is not canon. Most like a 4:1 but you can have more or less if you are real strong or need more mechanical advantage. After you have made that decision decide what brand hardware you like, (I am a Schafer, Harken, Ronstan guy). Pick the specific hardware on their website. Buy the size line the hardware is designed for. Remember, there is almost no stock hardware on a Catalina 25 that cannot be improved upon!!!
