Anybody have a good way to connect the jib sheet to the jib (150) in a way that won't get caught up in the shrouds?
I have a 79' sheet that is knotted in the middle and connected via a small piece of line to the sail. It had a piece of hardware before but that kept getting caught. Now I bought a new sheet and was wondering if I should whip the sheet in the middle or if there's another way. There was an article in lats/atts recently, sure some of you saw it.
Any suggestions on improvements would be welcome.

I've always used a simple Cow Hitch (Larks Head) to secure my continuous line jib sheet to my genoa.

Regular Clove Hitch, leads sheets nicely to each side.

Undo the turnbuckles and slide a 6' piece of 1/2" PVC conduit up over the forward lowers. Put a PVC cap on each end with a hole drilled through the center and a slot cut so you can slip the wire in. Bit 'o rigging tape to spruce things up and Bob's your uncle.

No more hangups.

Hey Bruce
Great idea with the 1/2" PVC. I use the ready made sleeves which are quite a bit more expensive.
