One of the nuts on a keel bolt is loose. I suspect it came from the factory that way, and I never notice it before. I appears to be a job for a socket wrench. Any suggestions on how to tighten it,the socket size and does it need a specific torque to be safe. Also, after it is tight should it be secured in position with something?
Here is Catalina's reply to my question on how to deal with the loose keel bolt nut: the keel bolts as being 5/8" making the socket size 15/16" (get as deep a socket as you can). They should be torqued to 83 ft-lbs (while the keel is supported, i.e. on the hard or a trailer). You can add a second nut to keep them from backing off or paint them with gelcoat but that makes them hard to retorque later on.
The suggestion of doing it with the boat on the hard or a trailer is a good one.
