I was browsing cnet.com and they had a brief article about this huge sailing yacht called Maltese Falcon (click for site). It's 88 meters long or almost 289 feet! It sure is a nice boat and it only costs 325,000-335,000 euros per week to charter!

Just thought I'd share the info if anyone is interested. Anyone have links to other amazing sailboats you have seen?

I had to go check on it because it was flying a Turkish flag. Turns out it is made outside my port of Origin, Istanbul. They have pictures of the sea trial but unfortunately no good background in them.

I loved their tender compliment "<i>Two 32' Pascoe RIB Tenders. 4 Laser Sailing boats. 1 Castold 14' Jet tender.</i>". Also this should answer any questions about the aerorig.

Then there's Mirabella, the world's largest single-masted sailboat, which ran aground on her first sea trial as I recall... Her mast is 90 meters.

I've always thought that the J Class America's Cup racers were among the most beautiful moving things ever created by humankind. There are a few left - Endeavour is for charter at about $65K a week! See http://www.jclass.com/charter.asp.
