Yesterday, I was towing the boat (on trailer) to the house for some work (coaming winch and Ida kick-up rudder installation.) As I was driving down the road, I noticed the boat listing to starboard, and turning stem to port. By the time I was almost home, the boat had a 10 degree list and the stem had almost jumped to the outside of the bow roller!!!
I postponed my repairs and took the boat immediately to the dealer, who plans on adjusting the trailer bunks, as they are apparently too low on the starboard side.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I have been a boat owner for almost 14 years, and I personally have never seen anythng like this. If this had been a long trip, instead of 15 miles of suburban streets at 40 MPH, I could have been in real trouble.

I had a listing problem when trailering the boat and needed to adjust the bunks on the trailer also but the degree of list was not as severe as you experienced. Did you have the boat strapped down on the trailer? It is my experience that the boat needs to be strapped down. Running the strap over the cockpit and criss-crossing it underneath works for me. Do you have the TrailRite trailer? Listing to starboard? Mine wanted to list to port and (right or wrong) I attributed this in part to the camber in the road.
Sounds like you have something going on that is more extreme than I experienced. Did you happen to find the mother of all potholes?? Since adjusting the heigth of the bunks and using a bigger strap that is criss-crossed underneath, at the end of the trip the boat now seems to be sitting in the same position as when loaded onto the trailer. I made the same adjustment to both bunks, raising the bunks over the two middle supports.
