Is there anyone out there that has heard of an attachment that fits on top of a standard winch and converts that winch into a self tailing or tailoring--(not sure which is correct). If so what is this called and where can I get them----

Thanks

Steve

I have harken 16's on my boat that are self tailing.
Not sure about Harkens being able to be adapted to self tailing, BUT, if you can make the change, you will always have to use the winch handles. If the sheets are tailed, I can't just pull on my winches to sheet them in. I always have to use the winch handle.

If you decide to purchase Winchers make sure you get ones properly sized for your lines. If you have 1/2" sheets and 3/8" tailers, they won't work.
