Anyone know where to purchase a winter boat cover? Or does anyone have a winter boat cover and can advise where it was purchased? I’m having difficulty finding a store online.

Thank you.

On the hard I use a tarp with an elevated mast. The tarp is from easternmarine.com, very nice.

I use that same size tarp on the hard but a friend of mine suggested an RV cover. It would be more durable but much more expensive. On the other hand those tarps don't last long out here.

Fairclough of Connecticut made the cover that I bought used on the swap meet. New they go for $ 1000 + -. I think I paid $ 300. It's of the green canvas variety, (heavy), when I spoke to the folks at Fairclough they said the they dont make them of canvas any longer but now use a synthetic fabric that is much lighter. I don't know if that's an improvement or not.

Frank,

You say you got your tarp from easternmarine.com. What type of tarp is it, exactly? Looking at the site, there are several to choose from. Is it sturdy? Have you had a problem with it ripping or tearing under the elements?

I'm debating whether to shrink wrap or create a tent with my mast down as you have. Do you find that things get under the tarp via the front and back where there are openings?

If they had these 3 years ago I would have gotten this.

My website has photos of the cover the PO had made by a local sailmaker (Potowmack Sailmakers, Alexandria, VA). It covers most of the decking and the cockpit area. Only area not covered is up near the bow pulpit. I believe the cost was around $900.

I am also looking for boat cover for my C25...Catalina Direct has a complete custom boat cover for C25 for $805...and a cabin cover(forward hatch to entry) covering all windows for$399...I have the cabin cover on my C22 and like it very much.

Those are very good prices if they are using Sunbrella.
