Before you take the boat out of the water you should warm up the engine and do an oil change and then run the engine again to get the oil up into the engine. That should take care of fogging the engine. To winterize raw water/sea water part of the cooling system you should first make sure the sea water valve is closed and THEN disconnect the sea water inlet hose at the shut off valve. Let it drain. After it has stopped draining, put the end of the hose that you just disconnected into a container of RV antifreeze and crank the engine until antifreeze comes out of the exhaust thru hull/outlet. If you use antifreeze solution in the other half of the cooling system (the fresh water side) you don't have to drain it, just top it off with antifreeze mix. Fuel tank should be either completely filled or completely emptied. Anti-bacterial added just in case. I will also remove the 2 batteries and bring them home to leave on a trickle charger. That's about it as far as I'm concerned. Does anybody else have any other suggestions?? By the way, where do you sail?
Goran, I am happy that you are getting help. I hope you will ask more questions and help other people too. It is great that we have more inboards on the forum now, I think we are up to about 6. You guys should start a fleet!
