Everyone, the ballot for elections for your association officers is ready and available for you to cast your vote. Here is a link to the ballot:

http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/telltale/telltale200609.htm

This ballot will also be emailed as the September Telltales tomorrow (Thursday, 9/21) morning. You may submit it electronically with the submit button, copy it into an email message and mail it to Dave Bristle (who is counting the votes for us) at the email address shown on the form, or you may print it and send it to him via U.S. Mail.

If you have any questions about the ballot or how to vote, please let me know.

You must be a current, paid member of the association to cast your ballot.

If you are a member, and do not receive a ballot via email tomorrow, please contact me for assistance.

My email address is kevin@catapult.biz

Which password, the forum or the one you get with your membership materials? My forum one doesn't work and I've long lost the other info.

It is the Association id and password that came with your welcome letter as a new association member. If my browser did not remember I would never get in!

Just as a point of clarification, you must be a current, paid REGULAR member of the association to cast your ballot; meaning that only Association Members that are in good standing AND also current Catalina 25, Catalina 250 or Capri 25 boat owners may vote.

Folks,

I screwed up the original email. The link at the top of this thread, and also in correction email, is correct.

Sorry for the confusion.

I've never been able to remember or manage a password for the association... gave up trying long ago.

Curious as to why a password is needed for the ballot... aren't the ballots checked against a data list of members before they are validated?

If so, why hide it? Doing so is keeping those of us who may have chosen to give up on the password mess from voting.

No big deal though.

I'll leave this one to the other officers to answer, I am the new guy in town and just following what is already set up.

I hate the way we do member access, and would like to change it in the coming year if I can get time.

I'd send you the password Arlyn, but we don't have your current email. Can you send it to me at kevin@catapult.biz?

Fair winds,

Kevin

The email is correct on the forum (I corrected when it changed) and the staff page (by my request, Spike made that change a couple of years or so ago).

I don't know regarding the membership data base. If I recall correctly the renew form always ask, but the change a few years ago by my service provider was a very subtle change and may not be getting picked up when renewing.

The forum and the membership databases are not the same, something that I would like to correct. The membership database email addresses are not kept as current as I would like, something else that I would like to fix in the coming year.

Sorry for the hassle Arlyn.

With all the problems with accessing the forum, keeping the membership database seperate might not be a bad idea.

Just a reminder: Your ballot, either via snail mail, email or by using the submit button on the site, is due by October 5th. I screwed up and missed changing one of the deadlines on the ballot. It is October 5th.

I voted.
I just didn't think we could hold office for the first year which is some kind of trial or something, never got a straight answer to that part, hence the need to keep the Yahoo site alive.

There is the write-in "office" of Capri 25 Measurer, where two candidates are currently overlapped at the leeward mark...

I seem to remember, a long time ago that we handled things differently, more simply, but they always worked. And it only cost five cents and a breakfast of champions boxtop....THE SECRET DECODER RING never failed. Is it too late?
