Great articles.. think I'll go get a ratchet crimper.
I do use a melting heatshrink inside the heat shrink tubing to resistance to moisture in my connectors. (Harbor Freight Heat shrink tubing kits)

Will have to look for the ratchet crimper.

I just picked up Nigel Calders book on Mech and Elec systems. This is another great tool for the tool box.
