Several of us who purhased the Nissan 9.8 motor were interested in Nissan's proposed developement of a four blade prop for it. Is anyone using one yet? I asked Online Outboards about the availability of the prop but haven't received an answer yet. Any news?
I was interested in getting one for testing purpose and was turned down. I already have 2 props for my nissan and do not want to buy a third unless it was superior. It is too bad considering the business we give Nissan.
Chris @O O got back to me and quoted the four blade prop @ 79.95 plus $ 10 shipping less tax outside Tenn. It comes in a 5" and a 7" model. Choices, Choices, nothing is simple.
I seem to remember that you preferred the 5" three blade prop since it gave you higher revs. Would you then opt for the 5" four blade model should you buy one?
I have the three blade 7" model running now( also the 5" unit in a box) and wonder if I should get the four blade in the 5" model or the 7" model. What's your opinion?
I am currently running a 5" 3 blade prop. I run 4900 rpm at WOT and the boat moving at 6kts or so. The prop is much more responsive than the stock prop which bogged the engine to 4400 rpm.
For me, I wanted to see 2 things from the new prop.
