As you probably all know, or at least most of you, eBay is one of the companies that we have an affiliation with via Commission Junction. Many, many of you own boats that are 25% chocked full of eBay stuffs.
We, the officers, are working on a couple of initiatives directly related to this relationship we have with eBay. Many of you have saved searches for eBay that you might consider sharing with the group, preferred vendors, preferred sections etc. This information is some of what we are looking for.
If you have searches or vendors(sellers), please email them to me. Also if there are specific ebay categories you check for specialized goods, send me those guys too.
Last – Keep your eyes open for some new stuff appearing in the menu on the left.

Bruce, you are fired as a beta tester, all Beta testers are required to report only good things. When I was a product manager in the computer biz we believes in Guy Kawasaki's mantra, "be happy, ship crappy".
Bruce - it works, but I was waiting for the officers meeting to actually release it. Frank really wanted some search engine stuff so instead of redoing the page, I just disabled the links.
I don't know Duane; I provided four of my favorite stores, I would want people to browse or search each store after our link took them there. Clicking on my link seems to show a LOT of West Marine eBay but in a long unwieldily list and I don't see anything from the other stores.
I'll work on it, all of the items from all of your stores are displayed....if you click the see all 5000 items button on the bottom. There are some different sorting options that I'll work on and see if I can get a better mix in the results.
I tell you what I really like the fact that everything is on one page, I hate having to click on that "NEXT" button for some stupid reason. Thanks Duane, job well done.
Could you put a section of boats for sale (like the 21-27ftrs) I look at these every day.
Frank - Since West Marine has so many items and the best sorting was items coming due to close, they overpowered the others on the search. I separated them.
Chris - I'm going to work on your stuff shortly. I will see what I can do regarding your 21-27 footers. I am currently having an issue with some of these searches though and until I get a response from ebay I might not be able to get that done. They have the ability to search by category number, only problem being all the boat stuff is located in ebay motors, which for some reason lacks category numbers....I'll keep on it though.
Only the first 200 items are on one page, you need to go to ebay via the link at the bottom to see the rest. I will say that because they are sorted by auction close, most items would eventually make their way to the list here.
Still more fun and innovative things to come.....
The search engine gets better with every page viewed and is really starting to kick in rather nicely.
new note: I found the category numbers for Ebay Motors...had to check a box that I didn't know existed. Sailing Hardware is now the top 200 items buy it now or actual auction coming out of that ebay category.
Regarding the Amazon store. It doesn't allow you to direct link when you do a search, so you cannot give folks a pointer by way of a url as a gift suggestion which is exctly what my wife was asking for. You can do that on their regular site, is that something that can be addressed?
