Anyone have a good suggestion on where to put the frame for the pop top cover when it's not in use? I usually keep it in the V berth, but it's kind of in the way there.

Blair:
This is a link to the 250 Tech. tips. submitted by Gary Rex on Cyana. This seems like a pretty good place to store the frame. I am planning on putting mounting brackets on this weekend. I am using plastic mounts instead of the metal ones shown.

Ray,

Thanks! Let us know how your install goes. Are you using screws to attach the plastic spring clips, or an adhesive?

Of course nothing ever goes according to plan therefore, I am still working on it Blair. I am using plastic clips from Sail Net and adhesive. The clips are different enough that Gary's placement won't work. I am thinking of moving the system back to the aft bulkhead and berth ceiling. I will keep you posted, but this is one of a few projects ongoing on the boat as well as many at the home so it could be a while. I do have priorities because sailing has to fit in there too.

I put mine in the aft port comparment(Not sure what to call it, but it is the long narrow area along the port side of the aft bunk!) I also used some "Pole Holder" Brackets. I mounted 2 holders on the aft closet wall and one on the bottom area and have it mounted so that the "U" is facing UP |__|. Works good for me & is out of the way

I tackled this project slightly differently than using the broom handle holders. I used some 3/4" thick plastic and made two brackets with holes for inserting the legs of the frame. These are screwed to liner over the aft berth. The frame stays in front of the companionway ladder while its legs protrude aft and thru these brackets. A bungee then secures the frame to the companion way ladder. This method allows easier access and storage.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. It looks like there are a number of good options.
