VMG used to be a holy grail, requiring expensive masthead instruments. Now it is in your pocket.

My handheld GPS's have had VMG for the better part of 10 years now. I can use the GPS in conjunction with my laptop and still link to google earth....

Am I missing something other than the apparently small size?
