Derek, I'm not sure... but I looked at NAS Pensacola Marinas there are four. All their marina web sites are up and running and say nothing about damage. I do recall seeing boats going in and out of the marina near Sand Island (the one closest to the air strip) when we were watching the Blue Angles practice.
The Cajuns are coming out of the swamp tonight for their board meeting. They have on the docket: "B.E.E.R. Cruise 2007". We should know something soon.

Steve, Did you have any problems launching on their ramp?
Tom, that was a great video, now then, would you give any consideration to being a Race Committy Chairman for the 2008 Nationals? We desperately need someone to step up to the plate and take on this wonderfull experience. You could make a bid to have the 2008 Nationals over the winter/spring (not just in the summer) time frame when I know the sailing on the Florida Panhandle is the best. As a retired Navy guy, I was stationed at NAS Pensicola and those facilities would be availuable for such a format. Please give this request some consideration. Let hear from the rest of the forum on what they think.
Bill, I appreciate you asking however I don't live near Pensacola, its about a 8 hour drive. For me to try and set something up that far away I think would be unfeasible. Perhaps someone in Florida panhandle area would be better suited for that. Also, I have never raced a sailboat, and don't know anything about sailboat racing except every Saturday the local racers hog up the entrance to my marina and yell at us for trying to get out onto the lake.
However if a group wanted to get together for a few days cruising, rafting-up and fellowship in the Pensacola area that's another thing all together.
It would be great if we could get a group of us together and join in on the BEER 2007 trip.
