I'm flying down on business next week and was wondering if any of you have ever sailed the River Plate?? I may get a day or 2 free and thought someone on the forum might know who to call to charter or possibly, crew?

Sardinia or the Greek Isles would be bragging.
Bue is just smog and 10 million people smoking in your face.

Daniel,

I was down in BA a few times several years ago. Went out sailing once on the River Platte. That sure is a strange river. It's about 35 miles across to Uraguay. The river is very muddy, the color of milk chocolate. Also, very shallow about 3-4 meters. There is a channel dredged down the middle. There are marked places where you can enter the channel. They piled the spoil along the channel and it is really shallow there. There is quite a large sailing community there. Hope you get out while you are there.

Cheers,
Bill
