The title says it all. I have an old inboard diesel ( yanmar ysm8 ), the diesel takes some time to crank. Any suggestions on batteries better suited for this?
My C-25 had room for a pair of 24´s. I bought the marine deep discharge ones with the blue labels at Costco. Worked well all summer without a problem. Really didn´t use my engine that much but I would start it once a week and run it for 10-15 minutes at 2000 - 2400 to charge the batteries. My engine sometimes takes 4 or 5 cranks when cold but when warm starts with just a short crank. Didn´t even use the solar panel I have, didn´t need it.
