Does anyone have a link to a free bill of sale form? I need 1 for sailboat and 1 for trailer. Thanks!

In Ohio it is usually just the notarized title. That goes to the title bureau who issues a new one and collects the taxes.

If you need one for NY or you need one because the buyer wants one, usually a signed statement..."sold one sailboat 50 cents, one trailer 45 cents. Paid in full".... does the trick. If you want the full monty, I'd do a google search, there are tons of sales agreements out there for you to grab free of charge...

This site has one here....http://www.lawdepot.com/contracts/billofsale/?pid=google-bos_us-main_d&s_kwcid=bill%20of%20sale|484006389&gclid=CJ_6lqS1lYkCFRJkWAodc229Aw

Brian, When I bought "Brandy" here in Schenectady I ginned my own up
with Microsoft Word and gave signed copies to PO and DMV.
Listed were serial numbers, model numbers, price and
signatures. No problems with DMV, they just wanted the sales
tax.

The reason I'm asking of course is because I am selling my '89 SR/WK to a co-worker who will sail the boat on the same lake I've sailed it on for the past 3 years. This boat is in excellent shape and I'm sure he will enjoy it as much as I have. I'm moving up in boat size and one of the top contenders for my next boat is the Catalina 30 Mark II. And as most of you know, this site is unmatched by any other sailboat owners site on the web - what a great resource. Since no one had a ready made standard vessel bill of sale, I've attached the shell of the one I used previously (in NY, but should be acceptable anywhere). There is a trailer version after the inventory headings below. I have it (now) in Word format and if anyone wants the Word file(s) just send me off an email. It would be great to add the Word documents to this website, maybe in the Manuals & Brochures section. Thanks all.
