My wife has used Amazon for buying cook books, music, movies etc on line. Does the Assn get credit for those if we use the tab on the left?? In other words, not sailing or boating related?
Since you brought it up, let me take the opportunity to update everyone. First, thanks to all who have used our links to purchase or investigate purchasing new items. You will see shortly via the Tell Tale or the Mainsheet what we plan on earmarking this for – I don’t want to ruin Frank’s big unveiling.
This information is Quarter to Date and may or may not (depending) include amounts from prior updates.
Amazon - 72 Bucks With Amazon we have the ability to see what (not who) was purchased. Special thanks goes to the GPS purchaser and the person (I’m guessing Rev. Peet) who picked up a rather expensive copy of Summa Theologica. Our big seller there is the Boat Odors book – says a lot about our boats?????:)
Commission Junction – 69 Dollars – Includes Ebay, Boat US Graphics and others. Performics – 23.68 – Includes West Marine
Google Adsense - 118 and change. Includes links to the left, links generated by the search button, and links on the bottom of the C25 Tech Tips.
We have also been approached by FX sails to offer a members discount, once the officers discuss this we will be updating you.
Actually, the Summa Theologica is for my first mate Alan! I'm still not real keen on Ebay, but Amazon is cool. So I went through the forum to get the six volume set. It's what he said he wanted. Glad to hear the kick-back is coming through. Kudos to Duane and the others who make that techi stuff work for fund raising. You have my gratitude.

The short version of this is no it won't really work. The page you would get at amazon or most of the others is a redirect from the actual link. You click the link, your info is recorded and then you are sent to the page. Roughly speaking, 35 - 40 days after you click that link, the cookie on your pc will expire. You will still get to Amazon (or the others)but your cached cookie will be expired.
If you actually right click and copy the shortcut and manually bookmark the link then it would work.
