I will be meeting several other sailboat owners at Sunshine Key, on the other side of Marathon. We will be meeting March 1st. I will be getting down there early, around the time you will be leaving.
Towards the end of February the Army Corps of Engineers will be closing the floodgates and filling up our lake - should be full by March we hope. I am envious of you all who can sail the year round. Having traveled many times to the Keys, I am all the more envious. Have fun!
Sailing in late February in the Force 5 Midwinters at the Upper Keys Sailing Club. If you haven't been to this small club you have really missed out. http://www.upperkeyssailingclub.com/ They have great beach to launch Force 5s and they have ample docks. I am considering taking my C25 down with me in 2008 and spending a week docked at their club the week of the Midwinters.
