We are officially accepting bids for 2008 Nationals. In the past 5 years we've really had some extravagent events. My fellow officers and I want to stress that you do not need to have all of the fanfare that was present in past years.
You need the ability to launch and retrieve boats (ramp, hoist, crane, lift etc). A few friends who won't be racing to help with race committee and that is really about it. If your club doesn't have the capability to launnch but the next one down the shoreline does deals can be struck, fees can be assessd etc..
If you have a club with a large annual regatta, our group would just need a start. If you can provide good racing your event successful. Of course there are a few other minor things - but those are rather easy to put together.
I honestly gurantee you will have some of the most fun of your life planning, hosting, racing in and holding this event. If you sat down and even half considered this, please call me or another officer.
Bids will be accepted until June 1st.
Thank You Duane
