So on our '77 there are no ports in the floor to access the bilge, and no pump installed. There is a hole right next to where the keel hose goes through the hull, which I just enlarged so I could stick a vacuum hose in there to suck out the water that's been there probably for years.

The manual we have suggests putting the pump pick-up in the keel stub under main cabin sole and using a 1" ID hose. How does the hose run from the pick-up to port cockpit locker? Does anyone have pictures of this kind of system? What kind of pump did you use? Where did you mount it?
