As you all may know, or not. there has been a huge upgrade to the forum. There are added topics, and the best is the Subscriptions. Yep all of you Yahoo members that are used to getting emailed the post topics are now able to get the same emails right here. A big thanks to everyone involved with this upgrade. I used it this morning to read Matt's new post. Look on the top of the forum, and you will see the link.
I suspect paul is going through all of the files and photos and has not had the time to post them as of yet. I guess it is a good thing I made them available to anyone who wants/needs them. By the way, the sail is nice Thanks......I am freaking out by thinking of when I will be able to splash.

I misunderstood Matt. Chris was working on all the postings from the Yahoo group so they could be merged in this forum in an organized way. The moderator status was simply so he could post them here by thread, instead of individually if need be. He and Duane are working on it. There are about 1500 individual posts, so it's quite a task.

There are a zillion things you aren't aware of Don. Send me 5500 bucks and I'll explain them all and sail a boat up your way that you can keep too...
Essentially our moderators are the officers and a few select staff members (few meaning one) who monitor and delete spam postings (which we haven't really gotten since the upgrade). Move posts if they are in the wrong area, delete duplicat posts, keep the for sale stuff to the for sale area.
Really there are 1770 post from the yahoo group that I need to remove the email addresses from, Do I need help? Sure I posted this a couple of weeks ago. I have sent Duane an email suggesting that I don't really need moderator rights to the forum, so I really don't need them. Duane has come up with the idea of creating a dumby fourm for me to post the old threads into, then move them into the Capri forum when ready. I have sent the files to Matt, and if you, or anyone would like a copy of the backup of the Yahoo site send me an email. I am planning on going thru the files just to remove the email addresses per your request.
I will email you both tonight whe I get home from work, I will break them apart in three sections, and we will have to go thru all of the text and remove anything that doesn't matter to the post. There is allot of Yahoo crap, and email addresses to remove. Thanks
There's a bit of a glitch for me on this Subscription feature. I don't know if it's on my end or on the forum end. When I get the e-mail, there is a hard return (carriage return and line feed) that breaks the URL. In the URL below, the "3" doesn't get included in the hyperlink since it's on the next line. I can work around that, of course, by copying the url and pasting it into my browser and then adding the 3 back on, but I wonder if anyone else is having that problem.
Aha! It's my Webmail program. It was configured to wrap messages at 76 characters, which must be right there at the end of that URL. I've configured it to wrap at 96 characters now, and it works so very much better.
