This may sound strange but is the locker floor strong enough to hold me while on the trailer? Seems like it should be. I want to get in there to clean it out and also search for this leak. I think it may be coming in a mounting screw holding the rub rail on. I weigh 205 lbs I am thin enough to fit in there but want to be sure I do not damage anything.

Thanks,

Dive in and have fun. You are not going to hurt a thing.

I thought it would be OK, I just thought I should check first. It is the only area of the boat I have not scrubbed and sanitized. Every thing looks and smells great until you open that bottomless pit. Guess where I'll be tomorrow.

Thanks,

<font color="red"><font size="6"><b>DISABLE THE LATCH BEFORE YOU GO DOWN IN THERE</b></font id="size6"></font id="red">

There is a very nasty story of someone on a C30 who had the lid come down on his head and LOCK.... he was stuck for a LONG TIME......I don't know if this locker is deep enough, but I had to share....

I always take out the bulkhead in the quarterberth and do things from there, including going in and out of the locker. I put in a couple of throwable cushions to sit on and am just fine. I encourage you to spend some time sorting out your power wall while you are in there.

I always bungee the cockpit locker lid open so it doesn't come down on my head.

That's funny, maybe that happened to someone on my boat cause the latch is on the bottom and must be put UP to latch.
Was wondering just before the noreaster why it was installed like that (had to lock it closed with a screw in case the wind came up and opened it) Now I know.

As clausterphobic as I am I will tie that thing up. I thought about the quarter berth panel as in and out would be easier. If I did get stuck down there trust me I would chew my way out of there.lol
