Boy if you want a nice midwest pull, go to Pioria IL and do the river front, great sailing lots of resturants/casinos and at lot to do down town. Was just there this Monday, and plan to go back some weekend this fall.
Keep me and others posted on the date that you select for this weekend get away. I might be able to make it. It would only be a 3-4 hour pull. I would enjoy the sailing, restaurants, and downtown stuff, but not the casinos.
Bill, I'm off that weekend, so will put that on my calendar. I will also be trailering the boat up to St.Joseph/Benton Harbor on Labor Day weekend, and the LSC is planning that Mini-Cruise to the Holland Michigan area on Sept 28-30. Just like to go to different places. And, "If we get lost we pull over and ask for directions."

Just remember: 1. Go out up-river and return down. 2. The shoals are on the inside of the curves, and movable. 3. Watch those barge-trains--they brake and turn for nothing and nobody. 4. You eventually end up behind the house.
