Boats been ready all year long, I go up to her almost every weekend to take care of small stuff. Seems every time I am ready the crew is not. I am going to invest into a tiller tamer, and just go by myself. Windycrest is now on Spring series 5&6 today, it was blowing 20 to 22 out, the Chili cookoff was on Saturday, I made it up t the lake on Saturday morning, lowered the boat down off of the lift, and yanked 7 times tell the motor started up. I was truly amazed that I didn't have to take the plug out, and spray it off.
I did notice that the forward port bulkhead in the front, the paint was chipping off, it looks like I also will be replacing the bulkheads soon. I sure would like something that will not rot. If I replace them with a aluminum bulkhead do you think I could race OD? We do have 4 other Capri's that race, I would want to be fair.

Now you're talkin'...singlehanding will set you free!
Steven Gent says the OSU Sailing Club is chock full of able-bodied sailors eager to come out and crew at Windycrest. Give him a call and he'll hook you up. Then come out this Sunday and let us chase you around the buoys!
Consider the CSSA Spring Open that Windycrest is hosting on the 19th and 20th, too. There's a fee, but it's not too terribly high (probably). And the Keelboat Racing Fleet is working hard to encourage local participation, even if you can only make it on one of the two days.
Hey Mike, Thanks a ton for taking the PRo spot this last weekend. It was Kims first time out on the boat in the last year, and she said thats what she wanted to do for the day. I kinda feel like an (donkey) for having you PRO then I show up and sail around the lake. SORRY! I just took a new job, so the time thing is not on my side anymore, But I will be getting the boat ready to be raced, and I am planning on getting her out. I would doubt you would be chasing us around this year, we are no where near the level we need to be, and Bob can not do fordeck anymore.
