Virtual Skipper 3 can be downloaded for free as a demo. I have not checked it recently but I downloaded it in December or so and it is fairly realistic. There are individual challenges or races you can attempt.
I think the issue is that Pegs is a bit 'concerned' when we are changing point of sail, and during that time learning stops and fear takes over (it's not so bad as to make her not sail, but she does get sweaty at the breakfast table when we discuss manouvers.
I had thought of buying a model sloop that had all the lines to use as a table top teaching aid, then wondered if there were an interactive 'model'
