I'm looking for a cleaner for my hull to remove all dirt and grime from the last winter/summer season. I kept the boat in the water for the winter and, thus, did not have the opportunity to machine clean/polish/wax.

Is anyone aware of a product's) which will polish and wax the hull that can be sprayed and brushed?

Thanks!

Check on a product called Instant Hull Cleaner.

This works great on hull scum.

You should also check out FSR, don't know about spraying it on, but it's a miraculous cleaner for fiberglass/gelcoat. It removed five years of lake scum on my San Juan 21 in a matter of minutes.

I purchased FSR last evening and tried it out on a small area of my hull. I wasn't too thrilled with the outcome so I'm going to try something different. I'll let you know what I come up with.

You have to let it sit for a while before you wipe it off. I had really good results with it.

Try toilet bowl cleaner just be careful around metals and be sure to rinse thoroughly. I used some the other day to spot clean some bird crap stains and they vanished like magic. I apply a little to the stain, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse or wipe it off. Sometimes I might have to take a scrubby to it before wiping it off. Toilet bowl cleaner also makes cleaning the scum line a breeze.
