Hey Stu, You may be right on about taking diesel classes. The current owner is willing to spend the time with me to teach me about MY engine. He also wants to take several sails to make sure I know all the systems. Sounds good to me.
I'm going to have a sea trial this Saturday, then a survey next Wednesday (I won't be there for that)
My insurance agent checked for claims history and there aren't any, so no significant hurricane damage there.
I got a quote from a hauler based in Pensacola for 2385 to haul that beast 500 miles from Ft. Walton Beach to Tennessee. 500 cheaper than I got from a hauling broker. It seems that the going rate is somewheres between 4 and 5 bucks per mile one way. I'll bet fuel costs eat those guys alive.
I just may have to learn how to use that digital camera which is still in the box, then learn how to post pics.
