Interesting coincidence... After getting daily doses of spam for loans, home businesses, porn sites, organ enlargement, and on and on, I went into my profile for this site and changed the e-mail address to start with *No Spam*. (Somebody who wants to send me something will have to remove the prefix.) Presto! Very little spam over the past few days! I suspect that the spammers have direct links to our site to extract addresses.
If you feel dumped on, try it yourself and see what happens. If you're happy with your organ enlargment and want to keep getting this valuable information, never mind. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Dave: I realy dont think it is this site. I have been using this site and the older site for several years. Let me say I have not once receved any unsolicited spam. Your infuring that by putting you regular E mail addy on the site that it caused you to get spam. Perhaps but hard to beleve. Ive had none. I dont know whether to feel left out or lucky. It may also have something to do with the age of your equipment and the filters or programs you use.
I'm not sure if the problem is with this site or some other place I have left my email address, but I too was getting spammed with all sorts of crap until I changed my email address. Since then, I haven't had any trouble. I know Ben-FL had a problem a while back, too, and put a block on his email.
False alarm... It turns out AT&T started a new spam screener just this past week--they sent me a message about it yesterday, and apparently it works! It just happened that I'd made the e-mail address change on this site, but that probably had nothing to do with it.
Sorry for the misdirection...
