I'm not normally in the habit of posting links to other forums, but this seems particulary worthy, given that it is Capri-25 related.
"I've been racing and camping with my best friend, his wife, and their two daughters (5 and 3 years old) for some time at our local sailing club in South Carolina, and he was the victim of a horrible accident this past Monday morning. I'm hoping that the SA community can give me some helpful advice for equipment or modifications I can make to his boat (a Capri 25) to make it more user-friendly when he is able to sail again."
Sorry to hear about your friend. Somtimes being a good samaritan doesn't work out I guess. he is a very lucky fellow.
As to handicapped sailing, I would think that the loss of a leg would only hinder movement around the boat, particularly the foredeck. Unless he single hands, a crew will solve that problem. They are doing wonders with prosthitics these days. Perhaps he will not have a problem at all sailing.
