Vertglass is supposed to be the shizzle. I stick with soap and water and sometimes an occasional wax. - not worth the effort for all that other nonsense, especially when I could be sailing instead - I promised meinert I'd try the Vertglass though - maybe in the fall
One year I waxed the stuff that wasn't nonskid with the 3M product cleaner/restorer/finisher all in one. One year I stupidly waxed the entire thing. Mostly we've used Boat Zoap (brandname, not a typo) and StarBrites deck and non-skid cleaner without putting on any brightening agent, wax etc.

No.
On the deck, I use regular 3M Marine wax. Easy on, easy off. I just washed my boat a few hours ago and the water still beads.

Shhh...Don't tell anyone, but yes, I waxed the nonskid too.
As for it being slippery, I, nor anyone else, has had any issues with a slippery deck. Most, if not all, of my sailing is done bare footed.
