Four of the lights in my cabin use the #93 bulb and I'd like to replace those with LEDs. Has anyone found one that will work? Another boater gave me a bulb to try over the weekend that seemed to be a fit, but it wouldn't light so I'm guessing there was a minor difference in the base.

Thanks.

Keep in mind that since LED's are diodes, they are polarized. So if you install one and it doesn't work, try flipping it around in the socket.

Thanks. This particular bulb is a single contact bayonete base, though.

David, same thing, the wiring would have to be reversed. Just use an AVO to check the polarity, if it's wrong, then remove the fitting and swap the wires.

I am looking for the same type of bulbs - for both interior and exterior applications. My hope is that it they will last longer and perhaps offer brighter/more visible options - especially for running lights. Just replaced my port/starbord running light lenses last night. I'm amazed those lights were working at all...accck...
