I've read through the previous threads but am still unclear. If I've got the main halyard, with the help of a winch, as tight as possible, how can a cunningham add any further tension? Or do I miss the point of a cunningham? Thanks!!
Speaking of cunninghams and draft, my boat came w/ the Ullman full batten main from Catalina Direct, supposedly only 3 years old, but I find I need to apply a LOT of cunningham to get the draft even to 50% in the sail. Raised w/ no cunningham, the center of draft is significanlty to the aft of center- anyone else experience this w/ this (I assume) popular sail?
