I'm about to add another bilge pump. I plan to put it in next to the keel inspection area but as I recall it is vertically challenged. Does anyone know what the height is in this area? Last time I looked it was pretty shallow. Does anyone know the exact height allowed or is there a better (lower) spot to put a bilge pump, where is it and what pump to use?
Funny you should ask. I am going to be installing a automatic bilge in my boat later this week. The one I have is a large volume and I do not think it will fit in the keel inspection area. I guess I have resolved that I am not going to worry about getting it in the lowest point of the boat. I am thinking that I will place it in the area by the keel cable. I am going to have a look at it later today and will get back to you. I will also send a picture of my bilge pump.
