I have no pictures but following info -

Checking the Manual & Brochures link on the Forum, the following info is provided in the pre-1988 manual:

"110 VOLT SHORE POWER SYSTEM

The optional 110 volt AC system is connected to shore power by a grounded, twist-lock- connector mounted on the outside of the port cockpit coaming."

It also contains addl info regarding the circuit breaker location. But no sketches or pictures.

On my 1989 Catalina, the 110 inlet is inside the port cockpit coaming along the back wall that is probably just a couple of inches away from the hull.

Does anyone have an alternate location? That's where my fuel fill is. I have a 13 gallon fuel tank in the port locker so the shore power inlet probably shouldn't go into the locker on my boat. Any suggestions?

I've thought about putting it in the anchor locker. Just seems to be protected there. Won't use it and the anchor at the same time unless I get a REALLy long extension.

Put it in the same coaming location on the starboard side of the boat.

Seems like somebody put it inside the coaming cubby, where it would be less exposed to the elements (especially salt spray). It would have to be positioned so you could twist and lock the plug...

My '89 has it inside the port coaming but unfortunately no photos of it. I have used the connection and it does have the benefit of being semi-protected from the elements. It is on the back wall inside the coaming. Unscrewing ther cap, inserting the plug and twist locking it is not too difficult.
