After testing the subscription feature on the Capri Forum for a number of months we have added the subscription capability to all forumns and topics. This feature will email you if there is a post in a forum to which you subscribe.

I've also added RSS feeds to three more forums for you technically savvy types.

Is it possible to run the RSS feed directly to my Google homepage? I have a couple of sites' RSS feed there, but have no idea how to add it.

Thanks!

Yes it is. I actually do it.

From the igoogle page (you need to use this and not the classic view) click on add stuff in the upper right
Then find the add by url link

It should be pretty explanatory from there

If you guys use Outlook to read your mail (and google allows pop server access) you can add RSS feeds in Outlook 2007 too

The messages in igoogle are 3hrs to a day behind what is in the forum. did I do something wrong or is that the way RSS works?<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"><i>Originally posted by ilnadi</i>

It all depends on the timeframes that google pulls the information.

I don't have the slightest idea what you are talking about. And I don't feel dumb. Much.

RSS feeds (stands for Really Simple Syndication) are digests of a particular web page. We are currently discussing using them within the context of a google home page. (or any other number of search providers and internet providers that provide a startup or home page for your use)

My internet explorer home page is set to google (www.google.com) When I go to my home page I see these "digests" - in the case of the association I see the last 3 posts. I also have one set for Sailing Anarchy's news page, Sailing Scuttlebutts news, US Sailing news, ISAF news, A-Cup info, along with a few others. I get the headline or title, a few sentences and a link that takes me directly to that story.
Help at all
