After 7 years it is with great sadness that I am selling my Catalina 250. I still love the boat but, I no longer have the time or schedule to use the boat as I would like. In fact, I havent had the time for several years now and have agonized over this decision for quite awhile.
The boat is stored in my driveway in Denver, North Carolina, which is just north of Charlotte on the west side of Lake Norman. This is where the boat has been used 99% of the time. It has been in salt water three times; New Bern, NC, Palmetto, FL, and Captiva Island, FL. After each of these trips the boat, motor, and trailer were flushed and cleaned with Salt Terminator. As a result, there is no evidence that the boat was ever in salt water.
The asking price is $18,950
I can be reached at 980-253-4090 at almost anytime of the day.
For anyone looking for a used Water Ballast Catalina that looks brand new, this is the boat for you.
My thanks to the Association Forums! While I havent been active on them for several years, they were critical to my enjoyment of the boat during my initial years of ownership and I certainly appreciate all the tips I have received.
Hey Kevin, Nice looking boat. When I sold my Catalina 22 I took it to Select Yachts on the west side of lake Norman. They sold it in a couple of months and got me a good price. They were great to work with. Even with the commission, I still got more than I would selling it outright. Just a thought. Do you know if they are still in business there? I can't seem to find an internet link for them. Thanks, and good luck.
Frank, sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately, Select Yachts is no more. It was just up the street from me and its been closed for quite awhile now. I believe he closed his location on Lake Lanier as well. It was a good thought though.
